Another Fantastic Night!!
The Third Annual Donnica Clark Foundation Fund Raising Ball was held at Mingara Recreation Club 7
August with over 300 people in attendance.
The function was attended by many Foundation Partners, Sponsors and Local celebrities
and was officially opened with an impassioned speech by Foundation Chairman Mark Holton.
In excess of $25,000 was raised to assist the Central Coast's young elite athletes, f
rom various sports, further their dreams to represent their State and/or Country.

Latest News From our Scholarship Athletes 
LACHLAN STAPLES swam the third fastest 100-metres and 200-metres butterfly
of all time by an Australian, to win two bronze medals at the National Short Course
Championships in Hobart. The 19-year-old swam the 100 metres on Monday night and the 200 metres on Wednesday night.
LACHLAN STAPLES returned from the 2009 World Cup with his Bronze Medal won in the 200 Fly and after Christmas flew to Perth to recommence training. He then went to Melbourne with the NSWIS swimming squad to contest the Victorian State Open Championships and won the Open 200 metres fly. He is at present in Thredbo preparing for the Commonwealth Games Trials to be held in March. Before those trials he will compete in the NSW Open and NSW Country Championships. Busy boy
WADE EAMES, 17 years of age from Kincumber High School, has been selected in the team
as a Left Hand Driver. Wade has been working very hard over the past 12 months to gain selection
and is looking forward to competing at the World Championships in Sibenik Croatia.The Australian
team will put up a strong showing despite the fact that they will be competing against the strong Europeans..jpg)
WADE EAMES, Water Polo Scholarship holder has paid a wonderful tribute to Donnica by
changing his cap number. Wade obtained special permission from Water Polo Australia to
change his officially appointed number of 9 to 7, which he found out was Donnica's
favourite number. Wade leaves Australia on July 30 to take part in the World Championships, with the Australian Men's Junior Team, that are being played in Sibenik, Croatia from August 20 - 30.
MATT DAWSON attended the Hockey NSW U15 High Performance Camp in Newcastle.
The camp was for 36 boys from all over NSW & was the final selection trial for the U15 State team.
After a grueling three days of drills, skill development & games Matt was named Captain of the
NSW U15 Boys Hockey Team to contest the Hockey Australia U15 National Championships in
Adelaide in October. His selection as Captain of this team has capped off a great five weeks for Matt who was recently selected asthe youngest member of the U16 NSW All Schools team that will play in Rockhampton in early August.
Matt has been busy since his latest State selection as this week he has been representing NSW Combined Catholic Colleges at the Hockeyfest Carnival at the Olympic Hockey venue at Homebush.
MATT DAWSON attended the NSW U'16 All Schools Hockey Talented Athlete's Camp at Narrabeen & Homebush. After 4 days of gruelling fitness testing, skill development & games, We are happy to report he was selectedin the NSW U16 All Schools Team that will compete at School Sport Australia Championship in Rockhampton in August. He is the youngest member of the team & will be eligible to play in the same age group next year.
His versatility as a talented sportsman was recognised last week when he was also selected to be a member of the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program for 2009/10. This selection makes him a dual scholarship holder with the Academ
y as he is also in his third year as a Future Stars scholarship holder with the Central Coast Academy of Sport.
