Welcome to the official website of the Donnica Clarke Foundation. 

Donnica's site will grow as the Foundation in her name blossoms, and will provide information on                                                        
fundraising events,scholarships and how to apply. Nica was a dual Australian Surf Life Saving beach                       
sprint and flat champion who died in a tragic cliff fall at North Avoca Beach, on the Central Coast of NSW,
on April 10, 2007 aged 16.

 

Donnica Clarke Foundation has been established to keep the memory

of the bubbly and multi talented teenager at the forefront of the minds of the community of the Central Coast.
Donnica died at a young age, but was an inspiration to all who knew her and we aim to duplicate this
inspiration and pass it on to as many other young Central Coast athletes as possible.

 

The aim of the Donnica Clarke Foundation is to offer financial and moral support

to young athletes, male, and female, across all sports from the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia.

 

DCF 2012 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!

 

Applications are now closed, and with an excess of forty nominees, the Selection Committee will be having
a busy time attempting to reduce the number to approximately fifteen.

 

The successful applicants will be announced at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony to be held in April of this year.

MATTHEW DAWSON has been selected for the New South Wales Under 18                                 Our final Frangipani Awards for 2012 have been presented
field hockey team to play in the National Championships in Brisbane in

 2011 DCF Dinner

It's all over, but what a night that raised over $45,000!

The fourth Donnica Clarke Foundation Annual Dinner was the best so far. 370 people, a maximum attendance, squeezed into the Mingara Auditorium to witness a fabulous surprise guest, dine on a sumptuous meal, and raise in excess of $45,000 much needed funds for the Foundation, and generally have a fabulous night!


The evening opened with another stirring welcome by Chairman Mark Holton,  who had the large audience spellbound and showing their appreciation with thunderous applause! 

There was even louder applause when the evening's host, the remarkable Steve Allen, announced the arrival of young up and coming local superstar Liam Burrows, who wowed the crowd with a magnificent performance following his successful debut in the TV show "Australia's Got Talent!"

DCF Celebrates Donnica's
"21st Birthday", and Christmas.


Tuesday 20 December 2011 would have been Donnica Clarke's 21st birthday, and the DCF held a "get together" to celebrate both that date and Christmas.


Over 100 sponsors, supporters, family and friends, crowded into the Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club to honour Donnica and the Foundation Scholarship Holders.


With a background video showing some of Donnica's, and each Scholarship Holder's performances, each Scholarship Holder in attendance was presented with a Christmas Gift, and the latest Frangipani Awardees were also presented with a certificate honouring their achievements.


Foundation Chairman, Mark Holton, thanked all attendees and paid tribute to the Clarke family for allowing the 21st birthday celebrations to take place on what must have been a very sad occasion for them. He also made a special thank you to all Scholarship Holders, for the way they have upheld the ideals that Donnica carried out during her very short but very active and wonderful life.


Three of Donnica's very good friends gave a moving, and at times very funny, account of life with Donnica and vowed that the memories of these events would stay with them for the rest of their lives.

        2011 Scholarship
     Holders Presentation

                 

 The Donnica Clarke Foundation 2011 Scholarship
Holders Presentation event was held at Mingara
Recreation Club on the evening of May 4 with over 
one hundred athletes, family members and guests
in attenance.


The evening was compered by well known Central
Coast Sports Commentator and Foundation Board 
Member, Steve Allan.


Foundation Patrons Kerrie and Tony Clarke,
thanked  everybody for attending and gave special
thanks to theFoundation sponsors especially the
Mingara Recreation Club's Board Members and
Management for their continued hosting of
Foundation events.
